MMO: Learn from bees

  1.  It's a marathon not a sprint  - so once you choose a path it has to be followed relentlessly. The lives of 12 bees are needed to make 1 teaspoon of honey.

  2. Money does grow on trees - but it can take years to produce fruit.  If you plant the seed and nurture it consistently you still have to wait for it to grow and blossom- Most people give up because they want instant results.

  3. Any of the known methods to find traffic will work- if properly implemented.

  4. Build your own list is still the way to go, but you need an offer to attract eyeballs. Honey doesn't attract bees - nectar is the attractant on offer and the bees transform it into honey.  Pollen is collected and transferred between the male and female parts of plants thus the bees are acting as pollinators by accident.  Capturing email leads can be disguised in the process of giving something valuable away.

  5. Finding attractive offers and getting them seen is the main goal of any traffic system.

  6. Once the lead is captured it has to be nurtured until trust is established and money can be exchanged.

  7. Systems to capture leads and build lists already exist and once set up only need maintenance.

  8. Traffic is the lifeblood of the business and daily effort must be made to keep up the flow- This is the boring part.  The creative part is finding and designing "the nectar" to attract.

  9. Beekeepers place hives of bees near nectar sites (flowers) so they get the honey flavour they want.

  10. Lots of marketers plant a garden - Multiple sweet offers attracting more clients.
